“Vanishing / Axis.” Collages. Magazine clippings, mixed-color stock paper, and Mecanorma Letraset. These eight pieces are essays on light and gravity. The first layers consist of clippings from Arquitectura México, from issues published between 1950 and 1955. These elements are arranged according to a subjective interpretation of the dialogue between the heavyweight (stone or concrete) and the lightweight (empty space and/or concentrations of light). The subsequent layers of colored paper, in a limited palette and elemental geometric shapes, function as instructions for use. The original pieces were exhibited at Mi-so, Berlin.
